Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for workshops and private tuition booked with Quietstitch Studio Ltd. It should be read with our Terms and applies under UK consumer law including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 where applicable.

1. Confirming a booking

A booking is confirmed when we accept it in writing and payment is received. The website enquiry form alone does not create a paid reservation.

2. Cancellations by you

• 14 or more days before the session: full refund of workshop fees paid, or free transfer to another date if seats allow
• 7 to 13 days before: 50% refund, or transfer where available
• Fewer than 7 days before: no refund, unless we can fill your seat from a waitlist (discretionary goodwill transfer or refund)

Multi-week pathways are treated as a single package. Missing individual weeks does not create a pro-rata refund once the series has started, except where required by law.

3. Cancellations by Quietstitch Studio

If we cancel due to tutor illness, severe weather, venue issues or low enrolment, you will be offered a full refund or priority reschedule at no extra cost.

4. Cooling-off for distance bookings

Where you book at a distance and the Consumer Contracts Regulations apply, you may have a 14-day cooling-off right. If you ask us to provide the service within that period and the workshop takes place, you may lose the right to cancel for the portion already performed. We will explain this clearly at booking.

5. How to request a refund

Email hello@quietstitchstudio.com with your name, workshop title and booking date. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 working days of confirmation.

6. Materials

Opened personal kits purchased for a class are generally non-refundable once supplied, unless faulty. Studio-provided class materials remain studio property unless stated as take-home inclusions.
